Healthcare Management Directions, Inc. (HMD) is a company dedicated to improving healthcare delivery through the development and management of acute care hospitals designed, both physically and operationally, for greater efficiency, increased patient safety and superior customer service. Healthcare delivery improvement is achieved by combining elements of facility design, process engineering, world class customer service programs and deployment of clinical and information technologies. The end product is a Smart Hospital®.

The Smart Hospital® can provide healthcare services as a stand alone facility, but to bring the maximum benefit for healthcare delivery, it is designed to function as a facility affiliated with and as an extension of an existing healthcare system. HMD believes that physicians need to be an integral component of the Smart Hospital® concept through management participation and facility ownership.

HMD primarily seeks opportunities to develop Smart Hospital® projects as joint venture partnerships with hospitals and physicians.  This allows for an equity investment by HMD as a minority or majority owner and utilizes the management expertise of HMD under Management Services Agreements. As an alternative, HMD will develop Smart Hospital® facilities as consultants for the benefit of independent third party owners.
