Healthcare Management Directions, Inc. (HMD) is a company dedicated to improving healthcare delivery through the development of acute care hospitals designed, both physically and operationally, for greater efficiency, increased patient safety and superior customer service. Healthcare delivery improvement is achieved by combining elements of facility design, process engineering, world class customer service programs and deployment of clinical and information technologies. The end product is a Smart Hospital®.

The Smart Hospital® can provide healthcare services as a stand alone facility, but to bring the maximum benefit for healthcare delivery, it is designed to function, most effectively, as a facility affiliated with and as an extension of an existing healthcare system. HMD seeks opportunities to develop Smart Hospital® projects through joint venture partnerships with hospitals and health systems.  It is HMD's preference to develop a Smart Hospital® project with an equity ownership and to direct the management of the hospital under the structure of a management services agreement.  As an alternative, HMD will develop Smart Hospital® facilities as consultants for the benefit of independent third party owners.
