Douglas Smith, Chairman of the Board.
Doug's experience
spans over 30 years, during which he has held senior leadership
and management positions with Quorum Health Group, of which he was
co-founder; President of HCA Management Company; Associate
Administrative Director, Duke University Hospital; and
Southwestern Regional Manager, Humana, Inc. He has held the
position of Adjunct Professor in Owen Graduate School of
Management, Lipscomb University and Vanderbilt University. Doug,
a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, has
written and published numerous articles, monographs and book
chapters and is an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige Excellence
Award. He currently serves on the board of Abilene Christian
University and also serves as chairman on the boards of Passport
Health Communications, Inc. and the Zoe Foundation. He is
co-founder and principal in Evergreen Investments and Management.
Doug is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, Duke
University and received his Doctor of Philosophy of
Administration/Health Services Administration from the University
of Alabama at Birmingham.

Terry
G. Bryant, President and CFO.
In
addition to serving as President and CFO for HMD, Terry is also a
co-founder and principal in Evergreen Investments and Management,
an early-stage venture capital firm based in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Terry has held senior financial positions with General Care Corp.,
Hospital Corporation of America, HealthTrust, PhyCor, MedAlliance,
and PrincipalCare. He has extensive experience in the financial
management of start-up and high-growth companies, most notably as
a founder and CFO of PhyCor. He currently serves as a director for
Encore Interactive Solutions, Igaea, and ebiz-America. He holds a
bachelor's degree in accounting from Tennessee Technological
University and is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).

Richard G. Cowart, Director.
Mr. Cowart was elected to the Board of Directors of HMD in June 2003. He has been representing national healthcare organizations and health systems, including physician organizations for over 25 years. Mr. Cowart is the Chairman of the Health Law Department and a member of the Board of Directors of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC. The Health Law Department is recognized as one of the top three most prominent health law practices in the country by Modern Healthcare and recently ranked by the American Health Lawyers Association as one of the top four health law firms in the country. He is a recognized authority in advising clients on the legal, regulatory and business issues related to healthcare services. He works primarily as board counsel to health service organizations (both for-profit and not-for-profit) and counsels providers on business, policy and governance issues, with an emphasis on business transactions. Mr. Cowart is a nationally known speaker and writer on healthcare issues. He is a national columnist for Medical News, Inc. Mr. Cowart is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Law.

J. Jeffrey Adams,
Chief Technology Officer.
Jeffrey is responsible
for the strategic design, deployment and administration of all
technical aspects for HMD's Smart Hospitals®
He has been specializing in healthcare IT for over 12 years and has
created extensive technical solutions for many cutting-edge
healthcare companies in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Most
recently, Jeffrey had the opportunity to design and implement a
unique, long-term care pharmacy company placing the technology in
the nurse's hands and reducing medication error by 70%. In
addition to Jeffrey's technology expertise, he is passionate for
customer service, quality improvements and the reduction of errors
offered in many of the newest healthcare technologies on the market.
Jeffrey is a member in good standing with the Healthcare Information
and Management Systems Society as well as a participant in the
Nashville Technology Council. Jeffrey holds a Microsoft
Certified Systems Engineer certification along with several other
technical designations.

Blair Warman Nickle, Senior Vice President.
Blair leads HMD
in the areas of quality, patient and family satisfaction,
and employee commitment. For almost 20 years, Ms. Nickle
has consulted and trained health systems, physician group
practices, peer review organizations, clinics, and managed
care organizations across the United States, Canada, and
Mexico. Her special areas of expertise include performance
improvement, performance measurement, customer service and
satisfaction, statistical methods, information systems
design, project management, strategic planning, and training
and development. She has supported clinicians and
administrators in process innovations that have resulted in
improvement to quality, patient safety, cost, patient
satisfaction, and job satisfaction. Before dedicating her
career to healthcare, Ms. Nickle worked in the also highly
regulated utility industry, serving as the Manager of
Corporate Management Development for the Tennessee Valley
Authority. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in German
and English from Emory & Henry College, a Master of Science
in Library and Information Science from the University of
Tennessee, and a Master of Business Administration degree
from the University of Tennessee.
